I'm so excited! One of the best bands from 2009 so far is White Lies and they are finally coming to play here in Munich. They're supposed to be really good live and even if they are not it doesn't matter. The album is still great. Personally I think that there isn't one single song on the album that isn't good. The music, the voice and the lyrics. Everything is in a perfect balance. One favourite from the album is "Unfinished business", it's about a couple fighting. The girl picks up a pair of scissors and murders him. He comes back to haunt her but then realises he is still in love with her and just wants to be with her. It's dark, it's gloomy, it's tenebrous. Just take "E.S.T", a song about manic depressives committing suicide due to fear of undergoing electrocution therapy. White Lies is the band that The Killers are to afraid to become. Because when it come to White Lies everything has got to be love or death, and that's it.
